Support for campus prevention programs across Oregon.

Ensuring that Oregon students have safe places to live and learn, free from violence and abuse, is critical to the mission of Oregon SATF’s Campus Program.

Since 2014, Oregon SATF has provided comprehensive training, program support, and technical assistance to campus and community-based prevention programs. Scroll this page to learn more!

How we can help

  • Providing confidential technical assistance is one of the main supports offered for campus practitioners through Oregon SATF’s Campus Program.

    Anyone implementing prevention efforts on a campus in Oregon is eligible for free, confidential technical assistance, Monday-Friday during operating hours.

    Here are some examples of common technical assistance questions we receive:

    • support designing comprehensive, collaborative prevention plans for campus communities;

    • support identifying local and national resources to enhance your prevention work;

    • assistance with researching and designing robust evaluation methods;

    • assistance identifying campus partners to support comprehensive prevention efforts;

    • support to create inclusive prevention and outreach efforts, with special focus on students experiencing access barriers to services, including students of color, in the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community, with disabilities, and more;

    • requests to serve as a brainstorming, thought-partner (or “sounding board”), particularly for preventionists working as one-person programs;

    • support with questions about Title IX, Clery, and Oregon law;

    • best and emerging practices for prevention work with college and university students;

    • and more!

    • Create campus communities free from violence

    • Meaningfully engage students and other stakeholders in prevention work

    • Center the health and well-being of campus-based prevention professionals and their teams, building capacity for comprehensive prevention to continue in Oregon

    • Build lasting connections and partnerships between Oregon colleges and universities

  • Oregon SATF's Campus prevention work is an extension of our agency's violence + abuse prevention program, designed to support Oregonians working to prevention violence + abuse across the lifespan.

    In addition to campus-specific resources for prevention work, Oregon SATF's engaging and robust prevention resources are excellent support resources for anyone interested in designing, implementing, and/or evaluating prevention efforts on campus.
